Window Cleaning Questions

How much does it cost to have my windows professionally cleaned?

Window cleaning prices vary, but typically start at $99. We will send a technician to your home for a free estimate and they can walk you through the window counting process. Factors include how long it has been since your previous (if any) professional window cleaning, how many windows you have, and the types of windows that you would like cleaned.

Does a professional window cleaning include the inside of my windows, or just the exterior?

We can clean both, whichever you prefer. Our employees are trained to work carefully and safely on the interior of your home. That means your furnishings, floors and window treatments will be left just the way we found them.

Are your cleaning products safe?

All of our products are home-safe and biodegradable. We do not use any ammonia or alcohol-based solutions that could affect fabrics or flooring.

What is your cleaning process?

While most companies just wet your glass and squeegee it dry, when needed, our process includes a third process which involves scrubbing the glass. This removes the build-up of tree sap, mulch spores, and bird droppings etc. that sticks to the glass. This leaves your windows looking not only cleaner, but most of our customers agree it helps them stay cleaner longer. This exterior process is standard on all first-time cleanings, while other companies may charge extra.

How often should I clean my windows?

We offer our “Window Care” program for regular customers who wish to keep their windows clean year round. We do accept one time customers, most of our customers select our twice a year, interior & exterior cleaning or our quarterly exterior only cleanings.

Does the weather affect the service?

Utah County PowerWash is a year round service! We clean in cold, snowy weather, as well as, hot and humid weather. We are also still able to clean on rainy days as long as it is not a blowing, driving rain. or iced over. A light rain will not affect our technicians or your windows. Remember, it is not the rain that spots the windows, but a driving rain hitting a dirty window screen! It is our year round service that lets us retain our qualified technicians so that we can keep the quality of your cleanings consistent.

What about my grids or curtains, do I need to take them down?

While any assistance is welcome, it is not necessary. It does facilitate the process though and many customers do prefer to help out, especially with the removal of window grids. Typically, our employees can work around almost everything in the house!

More importantly, for how long they will stay clean too. Utah County PowerWash understands what it takes to clean even the most difficult surfaces. From concrete, decks and paver stones, we have the products, equipment and insurance to guarantee you a clean surface, every time.

Are the chemicals we use safe?

The surface you need cleaned will determine what chemical will be used. How dirty your surface is will determine how much chemical will be used. Our power washers allow for variable pressures to keep minimal pressure on a particular surface. Just good ole fashioned water pressure and a flat surface cleaner designed specifically for concrete cleaning. The deck cleaning chemicals we use depend on the type of deck and staining application that is currently being used.
